Job Details

We are looking for a Product Manager to join us on a 6-month contract to support an array of upcoming projects with some of our smaller indie dev teams (potential to extend).

You’ll have an opportunity for impact in this role, working within our strike team structure, taking ownership for all go to market activities for your titles.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to trying new and creative ways of taking games to market, developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with developers, and who is motivated by the opportunity to make valuable contributions to titles.

In this role, you will have tangible impact on the Kepler portfolio, using the skills you’ve developed to support indie developers in crafting their marketing campaigns.

What you’ll be doing

As a conduit between Kepler and the developers, you’ll be focused on providing the support they need to bring their games to market, including strategic marketing recommendations and campaign execution. You will act as a point of consultation and guidance throughout the process, as the expert in the room.

  • Support the studios in the creation of vision documents, benchmark needs & go-to-market strategies.
  • Be the go-to for your partners, advising on marketing assets, campaign, budget & tactics.
  • Provide support to studios seeking marketing partners, agencies or additional hires to bolster their in-house marketing capabilities.
  • Offer recommendations, quality assessment and supervision of the execution of the marketing plans, including tracking of the various Key Performance Indicators on behalf of the studio (views, engagement, wishlists, sales, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the broader Kepler team for specific areas of expertise, such as Community Management, Press Relations, Influencers or Release Management, to provide satisfying solutions to studios.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Expertise: a strong knowledge of the marketing and publishing landscape, with an expert level understanding of the various platforms used to generate additional traction and awareness.
  • This includes experience in handling platforms like Key mailer, Press Engine, Level up Analytics, Power BI, Steam works, etc.
  • Quality of judgement in assessing various partners, agencies & marketing hires
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Rational communication: sometimes your ideas might be met with reservation, and sometimes you’re communicating with an audience who don’t understand what you’re suggesting, so you’ll need to provide that education and context.
  • Relationship focused: you will be supporting a range of studios, so being able to build cohesive relationships, with a high level of trust will be essential.
  • Innovative thinker: working with smaller, indie studios means you won’t have large budgets to work with, therefore you will need to savvy and inventive in your thinking.
  • Pragmatic mindset: you’ll need to able to anticipate problems and recognise when the projects needs have shifted.
  • Values aligned: our values inform everything we do. You’ll be experimental in your approach, with a deep-rooted drive to raise the bar, whilst contributing to a kind, respectful and inclusive environment.

What we can offer you:

  • We believe your salary should reflect the work you deliver, the skills you bring and the value you add, therefore we offer a competitive salary, 20% discretionary bonus and stock option plans.
  • 25 days holiday plus public holidays and end of year shutdown.
  • We trust our people and therefore give them the flexibility to manage their own working hours and office location to best suit their needs.
  • Personal training budget equivalent to £1,500 GBP per year, as well as access to conferences and formal training.
  • Up to 5 days paid volunteering leave per year and £100 to a charity of your choice on your birthday and as an end of year gift.
  • Medical insurance & healthcare cash plan. We also offer a range of personalised wellbeing support systems including our Employee Assistance Program, Spill, Mental Health First Aiders and more.
  • Life insurance at 4x your salary.
  • Income replacement insurance.
  • Pension matched at 4%, with the option to increase your own contributions.
