As a Product Manager (Consumer, II Home) at Coursera, you'll lead the "Home" product, driving innovation to enhance user experience and team efficiency. Job Overview:

As an IC3 Product Manager (Consumer) II at Coursera, you will drive product innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance user experience and team efficiency. You will manage product strategies, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with our broader product vision. Your focus will be on user-centric design, data-driven decisions, and the smooth coordination of new feature rollouts.

The Home Pod at Coursera owns the strategy, vision and roadmap for Coursera Home – the key surface which enables learners to onboard, discover new content, and continue learning. The Home Pod’s mission is twofold: 1) to inspire learners by helping them discover new content to learn that is highly relevant and personalized to their needs and 2) to enable learners to quickly pick up on their learning journey and stay motivated to keep learning. The PM at Home also works collaboratively across other teams and segments (Consumer, Degrees, Enterprise) to understand their needs and think about how to best incorporate those needs into home. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment, advocating for continuous 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall “Home” product at Coursera – how does home evolve to help learners discover & learn content?
  • Lead product innovation initiatives to improve user experience and team efficiency.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritizing features to align with user needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive product strategies and requirements for key features.Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to drive seamless product execution.
  • Conduct user research and analyze feedback to advocate for user-centric design and inform decision-making.
  • Create and oversee go-to-market plans for new features to ensure successful rollouts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with product management, including developing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Demonstrated history of collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, design, marketing).
  • Background in conducting user research and making data-driven product decisions.
  • Proficiency in developing and communicating product strategies and requirements.
  • Experience coordinating go-to-market plans and feature rollouts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data-driven. You have experience using a combination of quantitative (A/B testing and multivariate experimentation) as well as qualitative research methods to prioritize and validate ideas.
  • 0-to-1. You have taken products from idea to launch, with proven results post-launch
  • An “owner” mindset. You are biased toward action, a great collaborator, a master simplifier, and someone who pushes towards clarity and delivery. 
  • User-first. You understand and speak in terms of user value propositions, and to creatively inspire users to try the product. You take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our users and partner's problems
  • A high bar across the board -- from your own contributions to the people you work with, to the products you work on
  • A never-ending desire to grow, learn, and change

Compensation:

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. This role's targeted hiring base salary range is between $116,000 and 146,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
