Job Description

ByteDance is seeking a Product Lead to join the Pico developer platform team in San Jose. This leader will play a pivotal role in transforming the Web into a versatile platform for immersive experiences, designing innovative solutions for 2D, immersive, and spatial experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Web technologies, a proven track record in product management, and a passion for XR development. Responsibilities include defining the long-term development strategy, conceptualizing new SDKs and frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and promoting SDK adoption in developer communities.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in product management
Experience building technical products or mobile applications
Familiar with web technologies like HTML, CSS
Understanding of Web frontend frameworks like React, Vue
Solid project management skills
Ability to coordinate cross-departmental teams
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Master's degree in a related field
Previous experience in XR, smart hardware, 3D engine, OS, and SDK

About the team The Pico developer platform team provides tools, services, and infrastructure that empower developers to build immersive experiences targeting the PICO platform. Responsibilities - This leader will design and develop innovative solutions to transform the Web into a versatile platform for creating 2D, immersive and spatial experiences - Define the long-term development strategy and roadmap of space Web application products , conceptualize and launch new SDKs , frameworks, and tools to boost developer productivity and ecosystem growth based on the market trend and user needs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the overall lifecycle of software development, defining, documenting (PRDs), prioritizing, and communicating product and customer requirements, and working closely with engineering to deliver best-in-class products - Analyze and research market trends, competitor products, formulate product competition strategies, maintain product market competitiveness, and improve developer experience - Promote SDK adoption in developer communities, open source ecosystems and contribute to industry standardization

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronic engineering, information technology or related fields - 5+ years in product management, building technical products and/or mobile applications - Familiar with web technologies like HTML, CSS, understand the Web frontend framework like React, Vue - Solid project management skills, able to coordinate cross-departmental teams and understand user needs, and iterate on the SDK to enhance the developer experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in the related field - Previous experience in XR, smart hardware, 3D engine, OS, and SDK ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165000 - $414000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care. ​
