As a Practice Specialist, Generative AI, you'll work with Google Cloud's technical sales teams as a machine learning expert. You'll help customers understand Google Cloud's capabilities, design architectures, and overcome technical challenges. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, supporting customer relationships, creating technical content (best practices, tutorials, code samples), and representing Google Cloud at industry events. You'll collaborate with product management to prioritize solutions and shape the future of the AI platform. This role requires deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.), large language model fine-tuning, and experience working with C-level executives. You'll create prototypes and demos, integrating them with existing systems.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years cloud-native architecture experience
  • Deep learning framework expertise (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • LLM fine-tuning and training experience
  • Customer-facing experience & technical leadership
Good to have:
  • Experience with API management, microservices
  • CI/CD, container orchestration experience
  • GCP and Vertex AI experience
  • Ability to influence C-level executives
  • Prototyping and demo creation skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.) and using machine learning APIs.
  • Experience with fine-tuning and training Large Language Model.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing scalable architectures using API management, microservices frameworks, and PaaS.
  • Experience with modern software development life-cycle methodologies and tools including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, container orchestration, and operations.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
  • Ability to engage with C-level or executive business leaders and influence decisions.
  • Ability to create prototypes/demos and articulate this to a customer audience, while integrating with existing systems.

As a Practice Specialist, you will work with technical Sales teams as a machine learning subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks. In this role, you will work with customers and product development to shape the future of the AI platform.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Support the technical relationship with Google’s customers including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Create and deliver technical content (e.g., best practices, tutorials, code samples, presentations) to enable customers and internal teams to leverage Google Cloud AI infrastructure.
  • Travel to customer locations and represent Google Cloud at conferences, meetups, and other industry events to share knowledge, network with peers, and stay current on the latest trends.
