Description

Multi award winning games dialogue specialist SIDE is looking for a Post Production Assistant to join its team. SIDE has been producing best-in-class game audio for over 25 years and built an enviable portfolio and brand. Recent hit releases SIDE have provided dialogue services for include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hitman III, Returnal, It Takes Two and more.

As a Post-Production Assistant, you’ll be supporting post-production by ensuring it runs smoothly, along with confirming information is up to date between post-production coordinators, and other departments. This role will be based in studio at SIDE's London HQ.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Keep all written information up to date: emails, databases, diary schedules etc.,
  • Ensure team updates or actions are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Assist the delivery schedule, supporting with the team’s tracking.
  • Taking on any extra work that needs to be done to keep things moving smoothly.  
  • Make sure that LQA and editing is completed to the highest standards and to schedule, if provided.
  • Liaise with staff about the best practices for the post-production pipeline.
  • Assist on upcoming workflow preparation and project archiving.
  • Maintain and update post-production hardware and software in your region.
  • Develop post-production services, processes, and workflow as part of a global team.
  • Report to line manager regarding any staff or workflow issues.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with tools such as Pro-Tools, Reaper, Audition and/or RX.
  • Understanding stages of dialogue editing, design and mastering.
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Enthusiastic around audio technology and possess a passion for video games (bonus).

Experience

  • Previous experience in an audio production or post-production environment.
  • Imported and Exported audio files from Pro-Tools.
  • Practiced tracking progress in a production or post-production field.
  • Collaborated with staff as a team-player at all levels to ensure project goals are met.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication to liaise effectively with different departments.
  • Have very good attention to detail and can raise issues from a task, if unsure of something.  
  • Manage time efficiently, work well under tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Fluent in English.
