Platform Engineer, Frontend

This role is part of the Client Foundations team, which focuses on improving performance, observability, reliability and overall client infrastructure. As a key contributor to the Core Product, you’ll help build the platform and tools that empower us to develop and maintain reliable, efficient, and scalable web and mobile applications which allow us to delight customers with high velocity and confidence alike.

What you’ll do

• Develop efficient and reusable frontend abstractions and systems to accelerate product development velocity

• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our web and mobile client infrastructure

• Drive efforts to enhance observability, logging, and diagnostics for client-side systems, using tools like Sentry and BigQuery

• Collaborate on initiatives such as automation testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure improvements

• Build tools and frameworks to simplify development workflows and maintain consistent well-understood client-side architecture

Who you are

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer building consumer-facing products with a strong interest in building the platform and tooling to accelerate development velocity

• Experience with the React ecosystem, alongside proficiency in other JS frameworks and libraries

• Deep understanding of Typescript, Javascript, Tailwind, HTML, and modern front end design patterns and best practices.

• Familiarity with performance tuning, observability, and diagnostic tools, such as Sentry, BigQuery, and Statsig

• Knowledge of API frameworks like tRPC and their role in frontend-backend communication and orchestration

• Proven ability to drive developer productivity through automation, CI/CD, and test infrastructure

• Experience with Python and Golang are a plus as you'll be a liaison with our backend team

Compensation Range: $150K - $300K
