The Americas GPS Go-To-Market (GTM) team seeks a Partner Incentive Lead to design and implement the regional incentives and investment strategy. This role requires close collaboration with Americas and Worldwide GTM and GPS leadership, Finance, and Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O). Responsibilities include ensuring regional investments align with key solution area priorities and partner needs, leading the development of incentive programs, managing budgets and compliance, monitoring program performance, and identifying areas for improvement. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in business/channel strategy, partner marketing, and program management, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. The role is critical for supporting Microsoft's cloud growth and partner ecosystem.
Must have:
  • 6+ years experience in program management or equivalent
  • 5+ years in business/channel strategy, cloud marketing, or partner management
  • Design and develop regional partner incentive programs
  • Manage incentive budgets and ensure compliance
  • Analyze program performance and provide insights

Overview

The Americas GPS Go-To-Market (GTM) team is looking for a Partner Incentive Lead to design and shape the Regional Incentives and Investments Strategy aligned to Microsoft business objectives and regional Partner priorities. Ensure regional investments support key Solution Area priorities as prioritized by the Region and ensure it meets the business objectives and partner priorities of the Americas region. As part of this role you will work closely with Americas and World Wide GTM and GPS leadership, Finance and Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O).

The Americas GPS organization plays a critical role in Microsoft’s cloud growth and empowering the digital transformation for customers and partners in the Americas region. The GTM team within the Americas GPS organization is accountable for landing GTM, Marketing and Partner investments across all partner channels and customer segments. This role will report into the leader of the Partner Channels & Small, Medium & Corporate (SMC) GTM team although you will work closely across GTM LT and GPS LT to lead and orchestrate the regional Partner incentive and investment plan.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business and/or channel strategy, public cloud marketing, partner marketing and/or partner management.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building a highly motivated and profitable partner channels.   
  • Experience influencing senior leaders backed by a data driven approach.  
  • Experience working with virtual teams across functions and geographies.  
  • Experience driving teamwork and cross-team alignment across diverse disciplines  
  • Experience with having an executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences at all levels of the company.  
  • Experience leveraging internal and external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.  
  • MBA preferred.    

 

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regional investments support key Solution Area priorities as prioritized by the Region and ensure it meets the business objectives and partner priorities of the Americas region.   
  • Lead the design and development of regional partner incentive programs that support key solution area priorities and align with Microsoft's global partner incentives strategy.   
  • Manage the utilization of program/incentive budgets and ensure 100% compliance with governance requirements, in addition to the WW investments the America’s also has a local cascade of investments and the Partner Incentive Leads (PI Lead) key role is to ensure that the investments are made towards high Return of Investment (ROI) programs and be responsible for the budget seasonality and compliance  
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of partner incentive programs, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders. The PI lead is responsible for continuous monitoring, assessment and performance of the business levers as well as the investment campaigns. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance program effectiveness
