We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Lead Artist to join our brand new Malta based studio!

What Does a Lead Artist Do at Electric Square?

• Reports to the Art Director and coordinating with studio leads on art objectives.
• Leads the art team making a significant and direct contribution to the creation of AAA art
• Influences the defining look and feel and communicate art style principles to the team
• Leads by example; demonstrate, communicate, and exemplify clear expectations for quality

• Proactively assists in defining art pipelines and best practices against industry benchmarks
• Explores new techniques and technologies to achieve the best possible results.

Things we'd love to see from you:

• Experience leading a team or department producing a AAA product

• Ideally, a First in fine art, computer animation, digital media design or relevant degree
• An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of ability and traditional drawing skills
• Solid understanding of 2D/3D art packages; Maya/Max, Substance, Photoshop, ZBrush etc
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable time-management and organisational skills

• A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic team player, positive and outgoing personality with a can-do attitude
• Genuine commitment to personal development
• A love of creating unforgettable, utterly loveable gaming experiences for the audience!

Base Package
