If you're a talented Lead 2D Artist ready to take on a leadership role in our growing team, let’s connect! In this role, you will lead the creation of high-quality 2D assets for our Star Merge project, including characters, backgrounds, and props, while mentoring a team of artists to achieve our creative vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2D artists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality art production.
  • Establish and maintain team management processes and routines;
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and UI/UX specialists to conceptualize and create 2D assets that align with the game's vision and goals.
  • Ensure that all 2D art assets are optimized for mobile performance while maintaining visual excellence.
  • Maintain and uphold artistic consistency throughout the game by reviewing and refining arts based on product team feedback and project requirements.
  • Be involved in team members’ skills development and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques, integrating them into the team's workflow to push the creative boundaries.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in 2D art for casual mobile games, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of artists, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Mastery of industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • Experience working with and maintaining AI tools for Art Development.
  • Deep understanding of current trends and best practices in casual mobile game art.
  • Strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across different teams to achieve a unified vision.
  • Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in animation or motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling.
  • Experience designing for international audiences, with an understanding of cultural sensitivities and preferences.
