Job Title: Inventor Relations Analyst

Reports to the Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations

Job Overview: Fluence Energy Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventor Relations Analyst to join our Finance and Investor Relations team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with inventors, banks, analysts, and supporting the company's overall investor relations efforts. As the Inventor Relations Analyst, you will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations and collaborate cross-functionally with legal, accounting, finance, treasury, operations, R&D, marketing, and other teams.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Communication: Disseminate timely and accurate financial information, including quarterly and annual reports, earnings releases, and other financial statements. Coordinate the preparation and review of financial communications with internal teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investor Outreach and Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with the company's shareholders, analysts, and potential investors. Respond to inquiries from investors and analysts, providing relevant and insightful information to enhance understanding of the company's performance. Attend various conferences and events in which you will engage with investors and potential investors. 
Earnings Calls and Meetings: Prepare quarterly earnings materials including press release, scripts, and power point presentation. Organize and participate in earnings conference calls, presenting financial results and business updates to analysts, investors, and the media. Arrange and participate in one-on-one and group meetings with investors to address specific questions and concerns.
Guidance and Outlook: Assist in the preparation and communication of the company's financial guidance and outlook. Work closely with the executive team to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging related to future performance expectations.
Market Intelligence / Research: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide insights on the company's positioning and potential impact on investor sentiment.
Shareholder Services: Manage relationships with the company's transfer agent and registrar, ensuring accurate and up-to-date shareholder records. Coordinate with legal and finance teams to facilitate the distribution of dividends and manage the shareholder proxy process.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant securities laws and stock exchange regulations. Coordinate the preparation and filing of required regulatory disclosures, such as Form 8-K, Form 10-Q, and Form 10-K.
Investor Communication Materials: Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create investor-focused materials, such as presentations, fact sheets, and website content. Maintain an updated investor relations section on the company's website.
External engagement: Act as a key point of contact for investors and analysts, providing transparent and accurate information to maintain trust and confidence.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the company's investor relations strategy, aligning it with broader corporate objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on feedback from investors and the financial community. Act as a liaison between inventors and internal teams to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Due Diligence Support: Assist in due diligence processes related to potential business partnerships, collaborations, or acquisitions. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to external stakeholders.
Communication and Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventor relations activities and performance. Contribute to the creation of communication materials for investor relations purposes.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with legal, accounting, operations, and business development teams to gather relevant information for inventor relations. Collaborate with the VP of Finance and Investor Relations to align inventor relations strategies with broader investor relations initiatives.
Ad Hoc assignments 

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA certification is a plus.
•2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), inventor relations, treasury, banking, audit, consulting, equity research or a related field. Big 4 accounting, investment banking, or equity research experience preferred. 
•Strong analytical and research skills.
•Extremely detailed and organized.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong storytelling ability. 
•Excellent PowerPoint skills. 
•Excellent financial modeling skills. 
•Familiarity with Bloomberg and FactSet is a plus. 
•Familiarity with energy industry trends and technologies is advantageous.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•Demonstrated track record of going the extra mile and meeting tight deadlines. 
•Ability work outside traditional business hours as needed for international business (15-20% of the time)
•Some travel required (10-15%).
