Daily responsibilities

• Working with senior engineers and under their guidance on highly available, scalable web services for millions of gamers worldwide.
• Learning modern software development practices from a team of experts in this field.
• Contributing to the web services for CD PROJEKT RED games using best software development practices.
• Participating in the Agile process, including refining tasks, planning with the team, reviewing others' work, and improving the process itself.

Please apply only if you meet all of the following criteria:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are a fresh high school graduate or a university student. 
• You are going to reside in Poland throughout the whole internship.
• You are available from the beginning of July until the end of September (40h/week).
• You have a good command of English.

For this role, you should also have:

• Experience with Java or other JVM-based languages (internship, school project, open-source contribution, or personal project).
• Experience with a popular open-source web framework (such as Spring Boot or Quarkus).
• Awareness of software development techniques (such as TDD, SOLID, DDD, and Clean Code).
• A disciplined approach and a strong eagerness to learn quickly.

Nice to have:

• Passion for gaming and general interest in the gaming industry.
• Familiarity with containerization solutions (such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm).
• Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of asynchronous communication (such as RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, or SQS).
• Experience with cloud-based solutions and microservice architecture (Google Cloud Platform).

• Working mode: Office-First: working from the Warsaw studio for at least three days a week.
• The internship is fully paid under a contract of mandate, running from July to the end of September.
