We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Engineer to join
our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in information security, with
at least 2 years of experience in the field. They will be responsible for supporting the
organization's security posture by performing the work of an information security engineer,
including conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, developing and
implementing security policies and procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
to ensure the organization's security is robust and effective. The ideal candidate will have a
deep understanding of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices, as well
as experience working with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure Cloud.
Additionally, they will be responsible for onboarding and implementation of GRC tools, responding to security events and incidents, and participating in threat hunting activities. This is a security generalist role with opportunities to branch into more specialized disciplines within Information Security and Cybersecurity.
What you’ll be working on
- Be the primary responder to security events and incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security
- risks.
- Help enforce security policies, and be an advocate for procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organization's security is robust and
- effective.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and make recommendations
- for improvements to the organization's security posture.
- Work closely with internal partners and business units to ensure the organization's security tools and services are current and effective.
- Onboard and implement GRC tools to support the organization's security posture.
- Be an effective threat hunter, taking a proactive approach to security.
What you bring to the role
- 2+ years of experience in information security.
- Strong understanding of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Experience working with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure Cloud.
- Familiarity with GRC tools and services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid understanding of Network Technology and protocols.
- Solid understanding of Endpoint Security
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
- Certification in information security from CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA, etc.
- Documented experience working in an M365 environment.
- Documented experience working with IaaS platforms such as AWS, Azure
