The GPU Competitive Analysis (GPA) team is looking for a highly motivated individual to analyze competitive offerings of 3D/AI graphics IP and how they compare to our solutions. Come join the team that helps shape the direction of every Intel product throughout our roadmap and provides the analytical competitive assessment of our product roadmap versus the competition. You will be responsible for understanding the graphics/AI capabilities for competition including SOCs and discrete graphics vendors, industry trends in this domain, and how competitive products will evolve in the long term. You will use these comparisons along with analytical data to drive changes throughout our roadmap. You will be responsible for characterizing new graphics gaming workloads and AI use-cases and hardware.
You will work with our dynamic team on some of the following:
Comprehensive and holistic understanding of GPU competitive space (what is relevant for the time, where does comp invest for growth in future, WL, scenarios etc.)
GPU Roadmap and its relevance to projections (able to focus on roadblocks, aggressive configs Vs realistic ones, assumptions)
Ability to create and develop performance and power models for GPU 3D/AI
Performance modeling: Bottlenecks, tradeoffs, be open to try a new modeling initiative even if it can be proven not very successful. Consider corner case scenarios for efficient and agile performance modeling
Power modeling: Understand measurements to analysis details at length, extract parameters that are relevant for taking forward to next gen. The most successful candidates are good collaborators and are eager to engage in new projects and learn new things.
High visibility role presenting results and findings to key stakeholders
Behavioral traits that we are looking for:
Be open and direct in highlighting gaps compared to competition
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to effectively work with a cross-geo team of engineers, planners, and technicians through planning, development, design while delivering results
Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions, self-motivated and self-directed
Able to envision long term roadmap consideration for competitiveness. Be an allrounder for understanding industry traits and trends and its impact to short-term and long-term Intel roadmaps in relevant space.
Minimum Qualifications
Education should be BS or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering plus 8 + years of experience in Performance/Power modeling and/or Graphics/AI workload analysis
Knowledge of Graphics and compute architecture, validation concepts, power and performance methodologies, and debug process flows.
Skilled in programming languages, scripting and markup languages (Python, Pearl, Ruby, JSON, XML, etc.).
Hands-on experience with industry standard 3D/AI benchmarks
Knowledge of Power delivery study, Voltage-Freq analysis, Thermal analysis, leakage characterization is a bonus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with performance monitoring tools, such as VTune, GPA, or other performance optimization tools.
Experience optimizing code for performance.
Experience with C, C++, Python or statistics languages like R.
Experience presenting findings to key stakeholders
