ABOUT THE POSITION

As our studio expands and the scope of our projects increases, Virtuos France are seeking an Executive Producer to oversee a large project with multiple mandates across different Virtuos studios. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication and organization skills as well as strong knowledge of AAA game development and best practices in game production. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a large project across multiple studios and disciplines and oversee a team of producers assigned to this project across these studios. 
  • Be a key leader/contributor to the development team and responsible for identifying and resolving issues across studios and between Virtuos and the client. 
  • Develop trust and secure buy-in from multiple teams including key members of the client’s team, the development team and the business development team. 
  • Manage the production to ensure deliverables match the expectations and quality of the client.  
  • Build project roadmap and staffing plan according to mandate’s objectives, challenges and client’s requirements. 
  • Define and oversee milestone content in coordination with team leads and management.
  • Manage change – ensuring project scope is adhered to, controlling feature creep, ensuring project is delivered in accordance with expectations, and project budget changes if necessary. 
  • Continuously assess risk and keep the scope of the project in line with budget and schedule. 
  • Manage day to day communication of matters regarding schedule, budget, change and risk with the client and internal stakeholders and make recommendations accordingly. 
  • Ensure that each Producer on your team is working from a tracked schedule and has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution. 
  • Ensure excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork across all studios within the development team and across disciplines. 
  • Possess the ability to leverage your position to manage effectively during busy periods, paying special attention to the efficiency, velocity and progress of the project. 

Qualifications

  • Shipped at least 2 successful AAA games in a production management role. 
  • Highly responsible, self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to a creative environment.
  • Outstanding organization, communication and exceptional management skills/leadership. 
  • Exceptional project management practices and software including Excel, PowerPoint, Hansoft/Jira and Word. 
  • Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices. 
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a large project across multiple locations. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, utilizing both oral and written communication. 
  • Proactive and positive attitude with the willingness to support the team and project. 
  • Strong leadership skills, able to drive various functions (e.g. Design, Art, Engineering) through the whole development process. 
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the video game industry and passion for creating new and qualitative experiences.

About Our Team
