Job Description

As an Engineering Program Manager at Google Distributed Cloud, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include designing and delivering optimized program communication plans, determining program lifecycle phasing and metrics, collecting data to govern programs and drive stakeholder decisions, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders. You will work with engineering, product management, and support teams to deliver networking/telco focused products. The role requires strong technical judgment, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across organizational and team boundaries. Success involves successfully delivering complex software products and in-depth knowledge of project management.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management or Program Management or a related domain.
  • Experience working on customer engagements (e.g., project management, technical sales, ad operations, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in partnering with engineering, product management and support teams to facilitate the design and delivery of networking/telco focused products.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex software products, in-depth knowledge of project management. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent technical judgment and leadership across organizational and team boundaries.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver optimized program communication plans including executive and key partner communications. 
  • Determine phasing and metrics associated with program lifecycle that effectively address continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources), including near- and long-term objectives.
  • Determine and collect data required to govern programs and effectively drive stakeholder decision-making. 
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of senior cross-functional leads and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
