The EMEA Copywriter will be based in Amsterdam and report to the Customer Communications Lead. Responsibilities include creating engaging copy for marketing materials, website content, social media, email campaigns, and product documentation across EMEA markets. The role requires ensuring brand consistency, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Design, Product), editing and proofreading content, optimizing copy for SEO, and analyzing performance to inform future content development. A minimum of 5 years of professional writing experience is required, along with exceptional creative writing skills and a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable in SEO and localization.

What to Expect
As the Copywriter for EMEA, your role is to work closely with the EMEA External Communications teams and global Design Studio to produce creative assets across channels for markets in the region. The core responsibility of the role is creating and editing engaging copy, supporting teams with the consistent execution of sales initiatives and campaigns. 
 
Become an essential part of Tesla's Sales Operations team in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, driving the narrative of sustainable transportation. As a Copywriter based in our Amsterdam office, you will craft persuasive and impactful written content that communicates Tesla's mission and products to our diverse audience. Reporting to the Customer Communications Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping Tesla's brand identity and enhancing our engagement with customer. 
What You’ll Do
  • Content Creation: Develop clear, concise, and compelling copy for a range of materials, including marketing collateral, web content, social media, email campaigns, and product documentation

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all written content adheres to Tesla's brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone, style, and messaging across various communication channels

  • Competitor awareness: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor strategies and customer preferences, using insights to inform content creation

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Design, and Product to understand project objectives and contribute creative ideas that align with business goals

  • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and adherence to Tesla's standards, ensuring a high level of quality and professionalism

  • Optimise copy for search and scanning: Implement SEO best practices to enhance the discoverability and ranking of Tesla's online content, driving organic traffic and engagement

  • Performance Analysis: Dig into the data, extracting insights and implementing learnings in future content development

What You’ll Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

  • Writing Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional writing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of written materials. Exceptional creative writing skills with the ability to craft engaging, persuasive, and clear copy that resonates with diverse audiences

  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free content

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards

  • SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices to optimise content for search engines and improve online visibility

  • Experience with localisation: Understanding and adapting content to meet the needs of diverse markets and their customers’ expectations

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with digital content management systems, basic HTML, and familiarity with content marketing tools and platforms
