Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Lead at Logitech, you will play a crucial role in the Mechatronics team, developing sensing systems for various Logitech products. This involves leading the development of new technologies, evaluating concepts and designs, creating prototypes, and overseeing the process from concept to mass production. Responsibilities include specifying, designing, and qualifying sensing systems, developing measurement tools, conducting design reviews (FMEA, EVT), performing measurements and qualification, and collaborating with multi-competence engineering teams across multiple sites. You will be responsible for ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and exceptional user experience.
Must have:
  • Master's degree in relevant engineering
  • 9+ years experience in consumer electronics
  • High-speed digital system design & firmware
  • Sensing system design experience
  • ARM Cortex-M series MCU experience
  • Low power electrical design experience
  • Experience with OrCAD, C, C++, Python
  • Mass production experience
  • Full-system development (hardware, firmware, software)
  • Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in C# and Java
  • Statistical Tolerance Analysis, SPC, FMEA, GR&R, DOE, 8D

The Role:

As a critical role in the Mechatronics team, you will contribute significantly to explore and develop various sensing systems in Logitech portfolios from the conceptual product front end, through product development and into successful mass production.

  • Lead the development of new technologies and products, bring innovations.

  • Aim on sensing systems to evaluate new technologies, concepts, designs, architectures and components based on performance, user experience, risk and manufacturability.

  • Develop prototypes to validate innovations.

  • Specify, design and qualify sensing systems from concept to mass production for Logitech products meeting cost, schedule, experience and sustainability.

  • Develop tools and setups to measure or characterize various sensing solutions.

  • Conduct Design Review, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Review and Engineering Verification Test (EVT) Review.

  • Perform measurements & qualification.

  • Collaborate with multi-competence engineering teams in a multi-sites environment.

Your Skills:

For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Master degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Electrical and Control Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics.

  • At least 9 years development experience in consumer electronics industry.

  • Experience in high speed digital system design and firmware architecture.

  • Experience in design of sensing systems (e.g. optical sensing system, magnetic sensing system, biosensing system, IMU....etc),

  • Experiences in ARM Cortex-M series MCU,

  • Experiences in low power electrical design.

  • Experience in OrCAD.

  • Experience in C, C++.

  • Experience in Python.

  • Experience in mass production.

  • Experience in full-system development including hardware, firmware and software.

  • Quick learner, self-motivated and curious with good priorities and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with high fluency in English.

  • Efficiently create report and synthesis on complex cross-functional topics.

  • Team player with outspoken, open-minded and creative personality.

  • Solid exposure in multicultural working environment.

  • Good communication and personal organization skills (e.g. self-motivation and time management),

  • Availability to travel,

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Experience in C# and Java.

  • Experience in Engineer Skills: Statistical Tolerance Analysis, SPC, FMEA, GR&R, DOE and 8D.
