This role is a Digital Solution Sales Specialist focused on Azure Infrastructure for UK Enterprise customers. Responsibilities include engaging with key decision-makers, driving customer satisfaction through digital sales excellence, and acting as a trusted advisor in shaping customer decisions regarding Microsoft Azure solutions. The specialist will collaborate with teams and partners to conduct business analysis, identify high-potential customers, and lead technical demonstrations of Azure solutions. They'll work to expand opportunities, build pipeline, and apply Microsoft's sales methodology. The role involves driving deal closure, identifying internal stakeholders, leveraging partner relationships, and creating demand by leading with industry use cases. A deep understanding of customer business priorities and digital transformation across multiple solution areas is crucial. This hybrid role allows for up to 50% remote work.

Overview

Digital Enterprise Sales (DES), as part of Microsoft’s Global Enterprise Sales organization, empowers our customers through the unique value of the Microsoft Cloud by building a globally led, digital-first scale organization aligned with partners.

 

As part of our local subsidiaries or Digital Sales centers around the world, you will engage a dedicated set of enterprise customers to identify and achieve their business objectives through best-in-class digital engagement and partner co-selling. As part of our transformation, one of our key areas of focus is the modernization of our sales motions. The Global Enterprise Sales organization leads with a charter to achieve Microsoft and Customer business outcomes with a focus on AI, Copilot and Security.

 

As an Infrastructure Digital Enterprise Sales Specialist, you will work with our most important customers within our enterprise organization. You will drive the day-to-day execution of Microsoft's strategic business priorities – selling best-in-class Secure Migrations for our customers to be AI-Ready by leading with Migration opportunities with Windows Server, SQL Server and Linux Estate. We enable customers’ cloud modernization at scale driving innovation with Azure AI Platform, to our managed customers and building digital transformation momentum for our customers, partners, and Microsoft.

The DES Infrastructure Specialists play a pivotal part, guiding customers through AI's potential to solve problems, boost efficiency, and drive innovation. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

  • Demonstarted experience in technology-related sales.
    o Or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND demonstrated years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
    o OR equivalent experience

 

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

  • Customer First Mindset - Engage with and enable our customers and key decision-makers, delivering a connected customer engagement experience and driving customer satisfaction, through digital sales excellence, empowered by world-class data, marketing systems and platforms. 
  • Be the key trusted advisor and influencer in shaping customer decisions to buy and adopt Microsoft Azure solutions by winning the customers’ technical decision for consumption projects and usage scenarios through tailored messaging, technical discussions, and aligning the appropriate solutions partners, programs and resources to guide them in decision making and consumption plans. 
  • Collaborate with Digital Specialists, extended sales team, partners to conduct business analysis (e.g., whitespace analysis, identify industry trends) to pursue high-potential customers and develop a target list of potential business, while focusing on new business acquisition within your customer base. Elevate team capabilities and focus on working smarter and more effectively. Prioritizing time with customers and partners, leveraging tools and processes to run and grow the business and build a stronger team. 
  • Lead technical demonstrations of Azure solutions to explain and prove the capabilities of Microsoft Azure relative to the customers business and technical objectives. Collaborate with account teams, partners, or services to track, qualify, and expand new opportunities. Collaborate with other teams (e.g., account teams) and services to build pipeline. Interface with customers and builds relationships via social selling. Apply Microsoft's sales to determine the quality of the opportunity and whether to proceed.      
  • Engage in conversations with customers to introduce how other workloads could enable digital transformation areas that is aligned with the customer's industry and turns opportunities into deals. Have a deep understanding of customers' business and its priorities to drive conversations with customers on digital transformation across multiple solution areas, in collaboration with partners and services. Create guiding examples of digital transformation through seminars, workshops, Webinars, and direct engagement. 
  • Build relationships with leadership and field stakeholders to enable team success across internal and external stakeholders.  Collaborate with account teams (e.g., Account Executives) to identify and engage senior business subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business and maximize scale through partners; work with technical specialist/CSA to secure commitment.        
  • Apply the orchestration model to proactively drive deal closure by identifying and aligning internal stakeholders and leveraging and expanding relationships with partners, creating demand leading with industry use cases.
