The Role:

The purpose of the Maersk Contract Logistics (MCL) Global Customer Program Manager role is to manage a specific, small portfolio of strategic, global customers, ensuring that MCL becomes their preferred global contract logistics partner. This role is critical in building the foundation for global growth with these customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering on Existing Contracts: Meet and exceed agreed KPIs, driving increased customer value and satisfaction. Drive regional and global monthly/quarterly business reviews and keep a record of the value delivered to the customer beyond contractual commitments.
  • Optimizing Contract Delivery: Drive standardization, innovation, best practices, and margin improvements across geographies. Update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal operating procedures (IOPs).
  • Ensuring Contract Renewals and Growth: Support contract renewals and growth opportunities into new scopes and geographies. Assist in the implementation of new contracts.
  • Building Strong Relationships: Establish and nurture strong, strategic relationships with our customers' regional and global supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams.
  • Building a Global Community: Foster a global community of MCL Local Customer Program Managers and collaborate with other Maersk colleagues, including Sponsors, Sales, Program Managers covering other products, Implementation Managers, and Functional Teams.

You’ll be Accountable for:

  • Customer KPI delivery for MCL contracts
  • Customer satisfaction and value delivery
  • Margin improvements
  • Driving innovation and best practice sharing
  • Contract renewals of existing MCL contracts
  • Customer Account Plans for MCL
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Building and maintaining a global community within Maersk

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in managing strategic, regional, or global customer accounts in logistics or a related field.
  • Experience with Contract Logistics warehouse operations – ideally from consumer driven industries
  • Strong understanding of contract logistics and the broader supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and value.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with diverse, global teams.
  • Strong reasoning skills with a focus on process improvement and innovation.
  • A diplomatic mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Financial acumen
  • Commercial mindset and negotiation skills
  • Change and project management expertise
