Compliance/SOX Process Analyst (Supply Chain Ops Control execution)

 

Description -

This role will be providing compliance guidance, working with the Control Owners in Operations to ensure SOX Documentation is current and per HP Standards,  SOX control oversight supporting quality review of Process Documentation (SOX 404 Doc, Flow, Risk & Control Matrix), providing support and expertise to Control Owners for remediation or New Key Control development and reporting status of SOX Key Controls across the Supply Chain owned areas and helps on the preparation and execution of all controls in the area.

 

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides complex, operational analysis for all Supply chain functions in the area of compliance & controls for the Order to Cash and Logistics area WW
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to guide and influence decision-making.
  • Prepares and provides SOX status metrics and status to the Control owners and Process owners
  • Maintenance of 404 Controls processes
  • Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities for compliance improvement
  • Identifies issues and proposes solutions.

 

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree/bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, business, or engineering
  • Supply Chain or Inventory knowledge is helpful
  • 8+ years of experience in Operational processes and/or Audit/Compliance processes
  • Typically experienced in more than one Operational function
  • Able to work across time zones

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding compliance and controls.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Ppt, Visio)
  • SOX Flow Diagram is helpful
  • Process Improvement (yellow/greenbelt) understanding is helpful
  • Dashboard/ Power BI skills are helpful
  • Comfortable speaking with finance partners
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive
  • Efficient

• Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.
