We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Business Intelligence team at dentsu Sweden. This is a fixed-term position running from January 2025 to November 2025. As a Data Science Consultant, you will collaborate with our clients' top executives to devise cutting-edge solutions for data-driven marketing. You will leverage insights to advise clients on optimizing their marketing efforts. You will be a key player in explaining outcomes to business owners. You will be at the forefront of growing data modeling practices at dentsu. You will ensure meaningful value is delivered through a blend of best practices, skills, and original thinking. Key responsibilities include actively promoting Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), acting as a subject matter expert, fostering client relationships, expanding service offerings, building relationships with key stakeholders, providing mentoring, and driving projects to completion.
Must have:
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, including probability, and distributions statistics
  • Experience in regression analysis and statistical software and programming languages such as R or Python
  • General understanding of marketing, tech and data, and in predictive analytics
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Good to have:
  • Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, Adform, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, etc.
  • Working proficiency in Swedish and English

Job Description:

We have an opening for a fixed term employment from Jan- Nov 2025 in our Business Intelligence team at dentsu Sweden. We are looking for an experienced colleague with a strong background in statistics and data analysis to strengthen our team and help drive our marketing data science business further. As a Data Science Consultant, you will work closely with our clients’ most senior stakeholders to find best-in-class solutions for enabling data-driven marketing. Based on developed insights, you will, together with your team, advise the client to optimize their marketing activities. You will be at the centre of the action when it comes to explaining outcomes (and caveats) to the business owners.  
 

Data modelling keeps developing in the marketing and media sector. You will be part of growing that practice at dentsu. Together with a group of highly competent data professionals in Northern Europe, you will help apply new methods and techniques to answer marketing and communication questions. Think about use cases such as Marketing Mix Modelling, Attribution, Geolifts, Customer Segmentation, and Predictive analytics enhanced with AI.  

  

You will ensure that meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking.  

  

Tasks include:  

  • Actively promote and increase penetration of Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) among our clientele through coordinated sales efforts  
  • Act as a subject matter expert and lead consultant, particularly in the areas of Data Science and Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) for our existing & future clients 
  • Foster client relationships by being a trusted advisor who consistently delivers high-quality solutions 
  • Expand our service offerings to include new solutions rooted in data, supporting dentsu’s strategic focus on Customer Experience (CX) consultancy 
  • Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with key clients’ senior stakeholders  
  • Provide assistance & mentoring to project and/or other consultants in overcoming challenges and support them in driving the projects to completion  

  

Considerations for success in this role:  

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, including probability, and distributions statistics 
  • Experience in regression analysis and thereby in statistical software and programming languages such as R or Python 
  • General understanding of marketing, tech and data, and in predictive analytics 
  • Utilizing existing capabilities within dentsu to bolster data science adoption, including go-to-market materials and co-developing technical solutions  
  • Identifying potential clients for projects in customer data analytics, developing & offering engagements for reference building  
  • Initiating sales of Data Science solutions using existing concepts enhanced with new capabilities. Collaborating with internal stakeholders across media, creative & CXM practices for solution refinement and client acquisition 
  • Taking ownership and responsibility, and proactively seeking solutions 
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, Adform, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, etc. is meritorious 
  • Language: Working proficiency in Swedish and English
