Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater) in Perth to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include performing structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles (Model S, X, and 3) according to Tesla's repair procedures. This involves using advanced tools and materials, including Celette Frame Jigs, for structural repairs (gluing, riveting, welding), cosmetic panel repair, and replacement of various parts (body panels, suspension, structure, radiators, airbags, trim). Proficiency in MIG welding, aluminum repair, and experience with heavy damage/structural repairs on prestige vehicles are crucial. The role demands adherence to Tesla standards, teamwork, and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be part of a team revolutionizing automotive repair with cutting-edge technology and sustainable processes.

Must have:

3+ years' experience in automotive collision repair
Proficient in MIG welding
Experience with aluminum and structural repairs
I-CAR Australia Welding certification (plus)
Excellent teamwork skills

Good to have:

Certificate in Collision/Body Repair
Knowledge of heavy damage repair on prestige vehicles

What You’ll Do

Perform Structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles in accordance with Tesla-specific Repair procedures
Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting New Structural Components
Glue, Rivet, and Weld structural components being replaced
Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, Radiators, Airbags and Trim
Proficient in MIG Welding
Follow Standards and work in Teams
