Requires 3+ years of hands-on experience with Babylon.js and 3D web development, proficiency in JavaScript, understanding of WebGL and GLSL shaders, and experience optimizing 3D assets.

Must have:

3+ years Babylon.js experience
Proficient in JavaScript
WebGL, GLSL, and graphics pipeline knowledge
3D asset optimization
Problem-solving skills
Collaboration and communication

Good to have:

Experience with Three.js or Unity WebGL
3D modeling software knowledge (Blender, Maya)
RESTful API experience
Web accessibility knowledge

Job Title: Babylon.js Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Babylon.js Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge web-based 3D applications. As a Babylon.js Developer, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to design, implement, and optimise interactive 3D experiences that push the boundaries of web-based graphics and user interactions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality, performant 3D applications using Babylon.js framework.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and backend developers, to implement 3D elements and integrate them seamlessly into web applications.

Optimise 3D scenes and assets for efficient rendering and smooth performance across a variety of devices and browsers.

Implement interactive features, animations, and user interactions to enhance user engagement and overall experience.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D rendering, graphics, and performance bottlenecks.

Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the 3D web development space and recommend best practices to improve workflows and efficiency.

Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the delivery of bug-free and high-quality 3D applications.

Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise in Babylon.js development.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the visual and interactive aspects of our projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Babylon.js and 3D web development.

Proficiency in JavaScript and related libraries and frameworks used in conjunction with Babylon.js.

Solid understanding of WebGL, GLSL shaders, and graphics pipeline concepts.

Experience in optimising 3D assets, textures, and animations for web deployment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Knowledge of design patterns and best practices in 3D application development.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

A strong portfolio showcasing your previous work with Babylon.js and 3D web projects is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other 3D libraries and frameworks such as Three.js or Unity WebGL.

Knowledge of 3D modelling and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya) to collaborate effectively with artists and designers.

Understanding of server-side technologies and experience with RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of web accessibility standards and practices for 3D content.
