The Music Publishing team is responsible for commercial and product issues related to Publishing, PROs, Rights Management (e.g., Infrastructure, Payments, Reporting), Collection Societies, and Regulator/Statutory Support.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$293,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Draft and review music and video content licensing agreements with content creators, distributors, record labels, music publishers and publishing collecting societies across all Google products, primarily for YouTube and related products.
  • Respond promptly to legal requests from business development, sales, licensing, product, marketing, and other business clients.
  • Advise product team clients, as well as finance and other company departments on legal issues and risks, regulatory matters, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, intellectual property and, agreement strategy.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
