Assistant General Counsel

Position Overview

Everyrealm is seeking a reliable, experienced and detail-oriented legal professional to join the Everyrealm legal team as in-house assistant general counsel. This role is fully remote and offers the flexibility to work between 20 and 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and Review Agreements: Prepare, review, and negotiate employment and consultant agreements, vendor agreements, and other contractual documents.
• HR Legal Support: Advise on employment law matters, employee policies, and HR functions.
• Website and Terms: Develop and maintain website terms of service, privacy policies, and other legal documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Intellectual Property Management: Oversee trademark filings, intellectual property matters, and protect the company’s IP assets.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to provide sound advice on emerging legal issues and regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (good standing).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (in-house or law firm).
• Proven experience with employment law, contract negotiation, and intellectual property matters.
• Tech company and/or startup experience.
• Crypto experience is a plus.
• Skills:
• Willingness to work U.S. east coast time zone hours.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Familiarity with technology, including a paperless office.
