Job Description

As an Android Software Engineer at Waze, you will design, develop, and test features for the Waze Android app. This involves close collaboration with engineers, designers, and product managers. You'll need to stay current with the latest Android technologies and contribute to the overall success of the Waze product. Responsibilities include coding in Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, and C++. The ideal candidate will have experience with Android application and framework development, along with a strong background in data structures and algorithms. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a passionate team working to improve the navigation experience globally.

Must have:

Kotlin/Java experience
Android app development
Data structures & algorithms
Testing and debugging
Collaboration skills

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS
Jetpack Compose
C++ experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in Kotlin or Java programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience with Android application and framework development.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
