Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in software development of large-scale systems.
  • Experience in software architecture, leadership, and technical guidance of an implementation.
  • Experience in People Management, Collaboration, Thought Leadership, Strategic Planning.
  • Ability to own multiple solve large, open-ended Cross-Product Area (PA) problems working with several executives (principle, distinguished) engineers across multiple Ads teams and Payments.
  • Excellent team leadership and internal/external communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Guide both products as well as technical aspects of development, including innovation, requirements gather, design, implementation, productionizaion to launch. Own multiple solve large, open-ended Cross-product area problems working with several executives (principle, distinguished) engineers across multiple Ads teams and Payments.
  • Work on ambiguity, there are a bunch of ambiguous problems that need to be looked at starting from figuring out what can be done, defining scope and making them tractable with a clear growth path to a larger organization size supportive of L8 scope.
