Infoblox seeks a Senior Web Copywriter (contract) to lead content creation and elevate their online presence. Responsibilities include writing, editing, and proofreading engaging web content (product pages, solution pages, etc.) for Infoblox.com; collaborating with SEO specialists to optimize content; maintaining brand voice consistency; working with product experts and UX designers; managing content workflow and multiple projects; and iterating on copy based on feedback. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, with 2 years in Networking or Security technology and a B2B focus. A strong understanding of SEO, branding, and storytelling is crucial.
Must have:
  • 5+ years copywriting experience (2 years in security/networking)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong SEO understanding and best practices
  • Excellent project and organizational skills

We are looking for a Senior Web Copywriter contractor to join our Web Strategy & Content team remotely, reporting to Director of Web Strategy. In this contract role, you will lead our content creation efforts and elevate our brand’s online presence. As a Senior Web Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our digital content strategy, ensuring all web copy is engaging, informative, and aligned with our brand voice. This role will work with our product marketing team, adapting key messaging and their subject matter expertise, into engaging website content. They will also work with our web and UX designers to ensure the page template supports the user’s journey, telling the story that meet the user’s needs and business goals. 

You’re the ideal candidate if you are located in the Seattle, Santa Clara or Austin metros and have a tech-focused background with previous experience in Security or Networking.  You have a passion for writing copy for the web. Additionally, you are dedicated to improving the user experience through clear and succinct copy, ensuring that users receive the information they need with clarity and precision. You also have a strong understanding of SEO principles and know how to optimize content to enhance visibility and drive traffic.

What you’ll do:

  • Web Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread high-quality, engaging network security focused content for Infoblox.com, including product pages, solution pages, company pages, glossary pages and resource pages
  • SEO Optimization: Collaborate with our in-house SEO specialists and SEO agency to ensure all web content you create is optimized for search engines and AI, using best practices and relevant keywords provided 
  • Brand Voice: Maintain the company’s brand voice across digital content, ensuring consistency and coherence to the editorial style guide 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the product subject matter experts, the UX designer, and other brand/copy stakeholders to create cohesive and engaging copy optimized to achieve the specific webpage’s goals 
  • Page Content Workflow Management: Steward the copy review and approval workflow, ensuring every page has necessary sign-off to be published 
  • Project Management: Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadline 
  • Ready to Iterate: Take direction and guidance from creative leaders and subject matter experts on the development and improvement of drafted copy 

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, with 2 years of Networking or Security technology + B2B focus 
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of branding and storytelling techniques
  • Located in Seattle, Austin or Silicon Valley metros
