As a Vendor Solutions Consultant at Google Cloud, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ML data operations by leading the development and execution of vendor strategies. You'll source, select, negotiate, and manage agreements for Machine Learning (ML) Data compute operations, including human evaluations and ratings. Your expertise in scalable cost-optimal operating models will be instrumental in delivering gig-based delivery models for both time-bound research projects and ongoing evaluations for ML data operations. You'll work closely with CoreML business and engineering teams, collaborating cross-functionally to drive results. You'll be responsible for managing supplier performance, ensuring service quality and value addition through structured governance and performance measurement mechanisms. Moreover, you'll identify, prioritize, and deliver scalable solutions across the globe, transforming services while measuring the business impact to inform further innovation.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in customer-facing roles, including interfacing with executive stakeholders and managing and delivering IT technical implementations, transformation programs, or other initiatives.
  • 8 years in vendor sourcing, vendor selection, vendor operations, negotiations, and agreement with 3 years in a lead role.
  • Experience in crowd-sourced operations.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.
Good to have:
  • Experience in operational or sourcing capacity for Machine Learning data operations, content review, annotations, and ratings.
  • Experience executing service agreements, statements of work for outsourced operations.
  • Experience in multi-vendor operations management for scaled operations and vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally to multiple teams across all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the vendor strategy, sourcing, selection, negotiation and agreements for Machine Learning (ML) Data compute operations including human evals and ratings.
  • Develop scalable cost optimal operating models and service capabilities including gig based delivery models for both time bound research projects as well as ongoing evals for ML data operations.
  • Manage the overall relationship with the CoreML business and engineering teams as well as engage and collaborate with cross functional teams across Google to drive results.
  • Drive supplier performance around service quality and value addition through structured governance and performance measurement mechanisms.
  • Identify, prioritize, deliver scalable solutions and run strategic/operational initiatives across the globe to scale, transform services while measuring the business impact of those solutions in order to provide insights to leadership and inform further innovation.
