Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) team. In this role, you will be shaping the future of Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), while contributing to an evolving technology landscape. Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other similar cloud technologies
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms
Good to have:
  • 4 years of experience with Machine Learning Infra (GPU, Cloud TPU), or deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, JAX), algorithms and tools (e.g., Kubeflow, Ray.io, MLflow)
  • 3 years of experience with the Kubernetes/Containerization ecosystem
  • Experience building and operating large-scale cloud services
  • Experience working with networking, Linux Kernel Modules or Storage
  • Experience contributing to Open Source projects
  • Track record of ideation and innovating technology at scale

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
