Position Overview:

The Team Lead Senior Service Operations plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of global services projects within the EMEA region. This role requires working closely with the Head of Operations and other team leads to ensure the overall governance, standards, and successful execution of projects and services. As an integral support role within a growing function, the candidate will also be responsible for managing junior staff as the EMEA business expands.

 

What you’ll do as a Team Lead Service Operations Governance:

  • Oversee an active portfolio of projects, working closely with project and portfolio managers to ensure successful project and service delivery.
  • Proactively review and improve existing governance frameworks.
  • Improve and maintain live project and portfolio dashboards for accurate, up-to-date reporting.
  • Define and implement methodologies and processes for risk management, change control, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain and update a continuous improvement plan aligned with wider department initiatives.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of projects and services.
  • Oversee resource utilization and identify gaps and issues in advance.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new PM & PMO staff within the business.
  • Help Zones grow within the services space by increasing its footprint across EMEA.

 

What you will bring to the team:

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading PMO initiatives.
  • Proven experience in project governance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and assurance methodologies and practices.
  • Comfortable with managing data and adopting new toolsets.
  • A meticulous attitude ensuring processes are followed correctly at every step.
  • Familiarity and understanding of standard project management frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement to support a growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of finance fundamentals.
  • A self-starter with the ability to use initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work European business hours.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years of experience working for a global organization.
