We deliver experiences to consumers through our Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digitally led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business, as well as other initiatives such as Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Data Products & Platforms organization within DX and as a Sr Product Manager, you will report into the Sr Manager, GRC who oversees our data governance, risk & compliance program.

We are looking for Sr Product Manager to own the data governance, risk and compliance (GRC) relationship on behalf of Data Products & Platforms within Disney Experiences (DX). You will establish a strong relationship with your key business partners, analyze their needs, current trends, and potential partnerships to drive priority initiatives. You will analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re met. You will develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple initiatives and efforts which support GRC.

You Will:

  • Drive capability roadmap and define operational excellence

  • Develop a vision that improves our processes and overall efficiency

  • Provide customer and leadership support in product management and engineering leadership families.

  • Acts as a liaison between business users and the implementation team, presenting appropriately and effectively with co-workers, customers, and supervisors, maintaining awareness of project status and any potential delay, situation, or concern that may affect the outcome of the projects.

  • Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated. Reevaluates current resources to resolve project resource surplus and shortfalls.

  • Establishes clear ownership of program/project, ensures team members have the tools needed, and provides timely feedback.

  • Proactively communicates portfolio status, issues, and risks to leadership

  • Conducts regular status meetings with team & partners, continuously keeping customers' needs and requirements in view.

  • Works collaboratively to maintain detailed knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure clear communications between program/project teams and its collaborators to ensure alignment through its lifecycle.

  • Work to resolve data issues that are key and critical to GRC across data product managers, source producers, and partners.

  • Translate GRC strategy into detailed data requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • Prior product management experience in a similar industry

  • Prior experience with managing into business relationships, including measuring effectiveness of partner happiness.

  • Ability to summarize business use cases, capture data information/structure concepts and clearly communicate those.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, with the ability to translate business needs into requirements.

  • Experience and proponent of agile development methodologies

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

    The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $112,586 to $151,030 per year and in Seattle, WA is $117,998 to $158,290 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
