Sr. Product Designer

We are currently partnering with a leading B2B SaaS company in Canada to find a talented Senior Product Designer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the user experience of cutting-edge digital tools in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

In this role, you will focus on UX/UI design to drive the development of intuitive and scalable solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless designs, improve user experiences, and ensure accessibility across the platform. Your leadership in design systems, user research, and collaboration with product teams will be crucial to the success of this initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Solutions: Create user-friendly, accessible interfaces for digital accessibility technology products, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Design Systems: Lead the creation and implementation of design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the platform.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Engineers, to define product requirements and deliver effective design solutions.
• User Research: Lead user research initiatives and conduct usability testing to gather insights and continuously improve design outcomes.
• Strategy Contribution: Contribute to both short- and long-term design strategy, with a strong emphasis on the end customer’s needs and experiences.
• Mentorship: Provide design mentorship and guidance, conducting design reviews and supporting the professional development of other designers on the team.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in designing digital tools, including web applications, native apps, and plugins.
• 4+ years of experience leading the development and adoption of design systems.
• Expertise in UX/UI design software and tools, with the ability to translate branding into effective design solutions.
• Strong background in information architecture and understanding of design hierarchy.
• Advanced knowledge of using data to drive design decisions.
• Experience with UX research practices and proficiency in user testing tools like Maze.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Engineers in agile environments.
• Strong alignment skills within the design team and across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with design discovery and problem framing.
• Knowledge of content design for UI/UX.
• Familiarity with service design principles and practices.
• Mastery of design principles, usability principles, and best practices.
• Understanding of digital accessibility standards in design.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000 CAD
