Summary

As a Software Engineer II at Infoblox, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of core features for Infoblox's cloud-based architecture. This involves designing and implementing cloud networking solutions, improving system reliability and efficiency, working with cross-functional product teams, and staying current with cloud platform and networking trends. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining features, designing and implementing components of the Next-Gen Platform, recommending system improvements, working with product teams, and developing REST and RPC APIs. You'll own key backend components and contribute to the overall API framework. Experience with Golang, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential.
Must have:
  • 5+ years software development experience with Golang
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  • Proficiency in Go, understanding of core concepts
  • API design and development (RESTful principles)
  • System architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in CS, CE, or EE

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our SaaS Next-Gen Platform team in Bangalore, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will use the latest technology to deliver the core foundation for all Infoblox applications. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing Cloud networking solutions and work with the best of the technical and thought leadership team at Infoblox. What you’ll do: 

  • Develop, design, and maintain features and iteratively deploy services using Infoblox’s cloud-based architecture
  • Design and implement components of Infoblox’s Next Generation Platform
  • Recommend ways to improve system reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Work closely with various cross-functional Product teams
  • Stay up to date on key trends, especially in the area of Cloud Platforms and networking solutions
  • Own key back-end components of the platform
  • Develop REST and RPC APIs, as well as contribute to the overall API framework

What you’ll bring:  

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with proven experience as a Golang Engineer 
  • Experience in development with Terraform and Ansible environment 
  • Excellent understanding of various cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and others 
  • Good knowledge of Networking on Cloud platforms, preferably on DNS, DHCP, or IPAM - Mandatory
  • Proficiency in Go programming language and a strong understanding of its core concepts 
  • Knowledge of API design and development, including RESTful principles 
  • Experience with system architecture and design patterns 
  • Understanding of concurrency patterns and experience with Goroutines and channels 
  • Experience in microservices development with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams 
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE or EE is required; master’s degree preferred
