Job Description

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Microsoft, you'll drive growth for the Microsoft Clarity product. This involves market analysis, data analysis, experimentation, customer interaction, cross-team collaboration, and defining product features and scenarios. You'll analyze telemetry data to identify trends impacting churn and retention, propose product strategies and marketing efforts, and work with engineering and design teams to build features. The role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and a growth mindset. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment, navigating ambiguity, and learning new skills. The role focuses on understanding market trends, customer needs, competitor activities and leveraging data to drive product development and growth. The successful candidate will possess experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development and have a proven track record in managing cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND proven experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work effectively in an agile environment across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND proven years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience in web development and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll need to understand market trends and growth opportunities and what our customers and competitors are doing in response to those. 
  • You’ll help us make sense of the telemetry signals from our internal tools and services. Are there patterns of usage that lead to churn or retention, for example?
  • You’ll propose product strategies and marketing efforts to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • You'll define scenarios and features within the product, within first and third party integrations, and within internal telemetry tools aimed at meeting growth goals. You'll work closely with engineering teams to build these scenarios and features along other partner teams.
  • You’ll be an active learner and problem-solver, eager to work alongside data scientists, engineers, and designers to get things done.
  • You’ll be seeking meaning in the data, curious and comfortable exploring large data sets to find clues about growth opportunities.
