Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, Virtualisation, Infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU and Input/Output technologies, Virtualization and OS systems.
  • Understanding of different workload requirements (emerging and existing) and their demands on the underlying infrastructure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack, Guest OS, Devices) and deliver innovation for Google Cloud.
  • Work across hardware, software, research and product teams towards product goals and roadmap.
  • Understand the dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware.
  • Deliver the roadmap for Guest OS support, network, storage, hypervisor and offloads.
  • Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize return on investment.
