Job Description

Under the guidance & direction of the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for the end-to-end planning, implementation and execution of the Visa merchant sales and acquiring strategy, with a focus on Acquirers, Payment facilitators and enablers for Qatar and Kuwait. Based in Qatar, this covers all business priorities, including Client engagement, developing market wide initiatives to expand the acceptance landscape while providing high-quality support on the Visa organization, products, systems, and policies, for clients and partners.

 

Job Scope

  • Strategize, plan and implement core product platform features, product platform customization's or digitization, including building business cases on investment and returns.

  • Build strong working relationships with acquirers, payment facilitator and other key market players and ensure a high level of satisfaction with project implementation.

  • Track market development and results of programs, campaigns and solutions implemented and make timely tactical changes if and when required

  • Align Visa Acquiring objectives and resources against client business needs, local Visa business and acceptance objectives

  • Work with partner functions to influence and gain the support and commitment of targeted clients.

  • Assist with the identification and analysis of payment trends, market opportunities, and evaluate their value and viability in order to make strategic recommendations on future business direction.

  • Continually monitor existing and potential market activities to identify new opportunities or highlight potential causes for business concern. Feedback and update all staff as appropriate and recommend strategies and solutions

  • Establish strong partnerships with internal teams to assist in the delivery of initiatives within the geography and add value in pursuit of profitable business opportunities. 

  • Provide direction, thought leadership, best practice materials and turnkey tools to clients and the wider Visa team.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and relationship management capabilities with a clear understand of the market landscape.
• Deep understanding of banking operations and payment schemes, including merchant acquiring & services, business systems and processes
• Expert knowledge of how the brand, product platforms, and rules interact for existing and new payment solutions
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility
• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are needed to influence direction and change attitudes and decisions of senior level stakeholders
• Proven relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical skills and commercial acumen
