To-date, Genies has been widely adopted by cultural tastemakers and has partnerships with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group as their rosters’ “official avatar.” Genies has recently launched its consumer arm via its AR Developer Kit which allows developers to create interoperable avatar experiences for mobile and hardware AR. Their first avatar experience, Silver Studio, allows users to design and exchange digital fashion. Genies has raised $250M from investors such as  Silver Lake, BOND, NEA, and Bob Iger valuing the company at $1 billion.

Genies is looking for a Senior Recruiter to own the end to end recruiting process for our internal Games Studio. As a Senior Recruiter with Genies you will partner directly with our leadership team to fulfill key hiring goals, and strategically work with them to identify future hiring needs. Our ideal candidate must have 6+ years of  in-house experience, particularly within a game industry environment, and will bring an extensive and diverse network of candidates. You enjoy going outside the normal realms of talent acquisition to engage and recruit best in class talent, and can easily assimilate complex information on crux technologies, methods and our company's mission to a wide array of backgrounds.

What You Should Have

  • 6+ years of in-house Game Industry Recruiting experience across a broad range of roles from engineering to design to production.
  • Past experience partnering with game leadership and executive leadership.
  • Experience managing a full-cycle recruiting process (candidate sourcing/identification, creating/managing candidate experience, calendaring when needed, managing internal/external processes, offer negotiations, closing, and onboarding). 
  • Ability to understand and communicate the requirements of the business. You understand the nuances of our games and development methods and possess a strong ability to assess the technical skills of candidates.
  • An ability to operate like an owner - hold others accountable, drive creative TA solutions and outcomes, identify and solve unique challenges that arise during the recruiting process.
  • Phenomenal communication skills - proactive communicator, unafraid of radical candor, honest, and transparent.
  • Talent magnet with a broad, diverse and strong local technical network. 
  • Start-up mentality: you thrive in ambiguous and autonomous environments. 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and communication are critical

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Help drive the strategy and execution of Genies overall hiring goals and initiatives for key roles across our Game Studio teams.
  • Source, screen and close candidates across multiple geographies with a wide variety of skill sets.
  • Provide a high touch and communicative experience to all candidates throughout the recruiting and engagement process.
  • Build meaningful relationships and collaborate with hiring managers and the executive team to identify hiring needs and goals.
  • Help to ensure Genies has the right talent to build its ambitious roadmap and vision.
  • Effectively communicate Genie’s vision to help candidates understand the impact their roles will have and the growth opportunities that exist.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including: professional background, training, transferable skills, work experience, education, location, business and product needs, and market demand. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time employees may also be eligible for equity compensation, in addition to a robust health, wellness, and benefits package. 

Starting Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000 USD
