ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Interface & Collaboration
The team you will represent is pivotal in acting as the field application consultants and product specialists to close deals and create demand for Wind River solutions. This person holds and understands the market, project, and application of our customers, and promotes the adoption of Wind River products and services in Intelligent edge systems across Industry verticals like Industrial, Medical, Networking, Automotive and Aerospace.
Your core responsibility shall be to help maximize the sales of Wind River Solutions in Japan market. You shall work alongside Regional Sales Manager for identifying new business opportunities and build sales pipeline for the region.
Report directly to Director, Japan Field Engineering.
You will be an integral part of the Field Engineering Organization in Japan and primarily focus on Japan business. You will collaborate with Regional Sales Manager/s who act as a hunter role with a focus on net new logo acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Primary Technical point of contact for Wind River in the territory.
- Establish regional representation for Wind River by collaborating with local Distributors, Partners, and Customers.
- Understand customer’s business/technical needs, architecting technical solutions, and demonstrating them through product presentations, Discovery/Technical workshops, proof of concepts/values, and evaluations to win the technical sale.
- Contributing technically to qualify potential sales opportunities working alongside with regional sales manager(s), distributor(s) and sales eco-system partner(s).
- Develop regional market intelligence and formulate territory and regional sales account plans along with the Regional Account managers and execute successfully.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales manager(s) and Local Distributor(s) to meet and exceed sales quota.
- Collaborate with Wind River internal teams like Product management, Customer Support, Professional services and Engineering team to address regional customer needs and develop to become customer’s trusted advisor.
- To actively participate in identifying potential business challenges for the region and bringing them to the attention of Wind River Management.
- Identify and develop business relationships with all stakeholders of a given customer account along with Regional Sales Manager.
- To track RFPs and collaborate submission of Techno-Commercial bids.
- Manage Trade Shows and Seminars
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
- Good understanding of Linux architecture (Debian/Fedra)
- Strong experience in Customer facing technical roles with business acumen.
- Strong communication skills exhibited through technical presentations, demonstrations, white boarding, customer interaction.
- Proven track record in formulating technical solutions meeting customer requirements and maximizing the opportunity value.
- Understand customers' projects and applications, then make proposals based on them.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations and demos to meet audience needs.
- Ability to map customer account stakeholders, understand the procurement cycle and identify technical & business decision makers.
- Ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders at all levels of organization, cross functionally.
- Motivated to expand the business by utilizing technical knowledge and ability.
- Motivated to sell new products unflinchingly.
- Have a positive attitude to acquire new technology/product knowledge.
- Ability to prioritize and manage projects while maintaining sharp attention to details.
- Good understanding of DevOps development methodologies including tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc. is a big plus.
- Ability to travel when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Computer Science/Electronics).
- 5+ years of technical sales experiences for Linux (Enterprise or Embedded), or virtualization software.
- Linux (Enterprise or Embedded) or virtualized environment (OpenStack, vSphere etc.) background covering deployment, image build, application development is required.
- Linux certificate such as LPIC-2/3, LinuC-Level2/3, RHCE/RHCSA is highly preferred.
- Experience with software development for Linux applications or embedded system applications is preferred.
- Should be permanent resident of Japan.
- Native Level of Japanese.
- Business level of English (TOEIC 750+).
