Job Summary

Job Description

Senior Data Engineer needed to further develop an internal Data Platform for a global investment advisor organization. Responsibilities include leveraging Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning in production environments, prioritizing performance optimization and code quality. Advanced SQL knowledge and DevOps experience (Terraform or equivalent) are essential. The role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication is a must. The successful candidate will contribute to building and improving the organization's data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.

Must have:

Extensive Python experience (data analysis, modeling, ML)
5+ years production experience (performance optimization)
Advanced SQL knowledge
DevOps experience (Terraform)
Excellent problem-solving skills

Good to have:

Declarative Data Modeling (dbt or SQLMesh)
Experience with data visualization tools

Job Details

Our Client is a global investment advisor organization that utilizes advanced technologies and data analytics to improve the operational performance of their portfolio companies. Key objectives include delivering strong financial returns, offering diverse investment opportunities, enhancing portfolio company operations, and proactively managing risks. They have invested in proprietary technology and data-driven strategies to extract additional value. Currently, they are expanding their data science team in London, seeking a Senior Data Engineer to further develop their internal Data Platform.

Requirements :

Extensive experience with Python for data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in production environments, emphasising performance optimisation and code quality.
Advanced knowledge of SQL
DevOps: Experience with Terraform or equivalent tools
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.
Fluent communication

Nice to have :

Declarative Data Modeling: Experience with modern tools like dbt or SQLMesh for streamlined and efficient data modelling.
