Job Description

Senior Android Engineer needed for a Video Collaboration product team. You'll work on implementing custom services, applications, and device management features for custom Android devices, developing an Android software platform for unique embedded products, and ensuring high quality, performance, and security. The role involves building core system services for other applications and collaborating with a small, nimble team. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a SW engineer with at least 2 years focused on Android Services.

Must have:

5+ years SW engineering experience (2+ in Android Services)
Strong Java/Kotlin skills & SDK experience
Proficient in multi-threaded programming
Strong IPC and OS fundamentals
Excellent problem-solving and design skills
Git & Jenkins experience

Good to have:

Android device building experience (native & framework)
AOSP experience
C++ experience
Video Collaboration project experience

You will be part of a small team of developers focused on making video collaboration an amazing experience and the software you create will be used by thousands of people every day.

Responsibilities

Work on implementation of custom services, applications, and device management features running on custom Android device.

Develop an Android software platform for unique embedded products. Provide core system services for other applications.

Ensure the product software has the highest quality, performance and security.

Skills

Must have

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SW engineer with at least 2+ years of Android Services

Strong Java/Kotlin skills and experience writing SDK (or Java libraries)

Proficient in multi threaded programming and Middleware solution development on Android environment.

Strong fundamentals of IPC and OS concepts.

Strong problem solving skills

Strong software design and architecture skills

Knowledge of source control (git) and continuous integration (Jenkins)

Knowledge of design patterns/architectural patterns

Nice to have

Experience building Android-based devices, working in native and framework layer.

AOSP experience

C++ experience

Video Collaboration projects experience
