VGW is seeking an RSG Outreach Specialist to join their growing Responsible Social Gaming team in Toronto. This role involves managing RSG cases, utilizing empathy and communication skills to connect with players exhibiting at-risk or problematic gaming behaviors. Key responsibilities include raising awareness about responsible gaming tools and support services, providing guidance and referrals, conducting proactive and reactive outreach (calls, emails, live chats), staying updated on problem gambling research, and collaborating with the account management team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social work, psychology, etc.) and 1-3 years of experience (or an advanced degree). The ability to handle sensitive conversations and high-volume communications is crucial.

Due to major growth we are expanding our Responsible Social Gaming team in Toronto and are currently looking for a RSG Outreach Specialist to join the team. 

Responsible for RSG case management of customers, the role will utilize empathy, relationship building, effective communication skills and problem solving abilities to connect with people, raise awareness, educate on responsible social gaming practices and promote informed decision making, gaming solutions or help resources to customers that may be exhibiting potential at-risk or problematic gaming disorder signs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Increase awareness about responsible gaming tools, making informed decisions and available support services.
  • Provide guidance, support, and referrals to individuals affected by gameplay activities, their families as required.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive outreach activities including but not limited to outbound calls, emails and live
    chats to promote responsible gameplay practices to customers that are developing red flag behaviours
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of problem gameplays
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with the account management team to effectively collaborative
    approach with high value customers.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma/certificate in social work, adult education, psychology, public health, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evenings/weekends may be required
  • Working knowledge of mental health, harm reduction, addiction, risk prevention, preferred
  • Comfortable in uncomfortable conversations. Ability to extract context and understanding in sensitive topics without crossing into counseling.
  • Experience performing high volume inbound and outbound communications (emails, chats, calls)
