Job Description

This Program Manager role within Google's Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) team requires overseeing vendor relationships (access control, contract management, financial management), coordinating with employees on escalations and project allocation, managing the operational expenditure budget, leading strategic initiatives (ROI analysis), and analyzing workforce data to enhance processes. Responsibilities include automating workflows, managing data hygiene, and developing reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in management consulting, product management, or analytics within a technology company and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Must have:

4+ years experience in management consulting, product management, or analytics in a tech company
Oversee vendor relationships and manage operational expenditure budget
Lead strategic initiatives and analyze workforce data for process enhancement
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Good to have:

Ability to address complex challenges and develop creative solutions
Ability to navigate organizational structures and build cross-functional relationships

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
Experience working with and analyzing data.

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to address complex challenges and develop creative solutions.
Ability to take initiative and deliver tasks to completion.
Ability to think creatively and implement innovative solutions while enhancing efficiency and achieving results.
Ability to navigate organizational structures and build relationships with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Within Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS), you will work with some of the most passionate individuals in Alphabet. You will have a opportunity to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and others to build great products that simultaneously grow and protect our users and communities. Our work occurs at the intersection of product engineering, privacy and security management, and user respect. With our team, you will engage into large volumes of fascinating products with vastly different objectives and technical stacks.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of vendor relationships, including access control, onboarding, contract management (Amendments), and financial management (invoices).
Coordinate with full-time employees on escalations, resourcing, vendor portfolio management, project allocation, and onboarding of new projects.
Manage operational expenditure (OpEx) budget for vendor spend, including tracking and reporting on Temporary Variable Costs spend and utilization, and ensuring accurate project code allocation as well as its related metrics.
Lead strategic initiatives, such as Return of Investment analysis and execution, in partnership with vendors.
Analyze workforce data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions to enhance processes and support strategic decision-making. This includes automating and streamlining workflows, managing data hygiene, and developing reporting tools.
