Job Description

The Product Technology Manager at Google's gAPT team will leverage their technical expertise to solve business problems, build product architectures and roadmaps, and launch new products. This role requires collaboration with various teams (Support, Professional Services, Product Management, Engineering) and a deep understanding of Google Ads. Key responsibilities include designing infrastructure, creating launch programs, conducting implementation reviews, promoting features, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring data accessibility for analytical teams. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of product/program management experience and 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, web application development, and a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years product/program management experience
  • 2+ years OOP experience (Java, C++, Python)
  • Web application development experience
  • Solve business problems and build product roadmaps
  • Launch programs and ensure product testing
Good to have:
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, Typescript
  • Unit testing, agile development, bug/change management
  • Adaptability, priority management, deadline adherence
  • Technical solutions for business problems
  • Data accessibility for analytical reporting

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in the product management or program management.
  • 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python), developing web applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, Typescript.
  • Experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fluid environment along with ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to business problems.

gTech’s Analytics, Products and Tools team (gAPT) leverages deep user
insights and gen AI technology to improve or automate Google's Ads customer support experiences. gAPT partners closely with gTech’s Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to simplify our Ads support products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users. We are leaders of the customer experience, advocating for big-picture visions, feature requests, and offering product improvements backed by data-driven insights. Our work enables gTech teams to deliver delightful support to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business problems and solve those problems.
  • Build and work on product architectures and solution road maps, including the design of infrastructure necessary to support the business objectives of our stakeholders.
  • Create launch programs with partners to ensure that new products and feature releases are tested before deployment.
  • Perform implementation reviews, promote new product features and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Ensure that technical solutions are designed in a way that enable other Analytical teams to access data for operational reporting and data visualization.
