Flying Bark Productions is working on exciting projects such as the recently announced Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Stranger Things animated series, Marvel Studios’ What If…?, Disney Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.

The Producer is responsible for the Director’s creative vision, overall running and final delivery of the Film. You will be directly responsible to the investors, as well as the Executive Producers to deliver the Film in accordance with the Budget and Production Schedule while creatively adhering to the highest of industry standards. 


About you:

  • 10+ years producing CG longform animation (including Producer credits on at least two CG animated feature films);
  • High level experience managing finance and production budgets, working with clients and investors;
  • Experience with all parts of the animation production pipeline, from story department to final delivery in a professional production environment and a high level of technical knowledge of CG workflows;
  • Experience with all aspects of production management, including schedule management, personnel and performance management;
  • Expert organisational skills, with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, MS Project or equivalent and Shotgrid;
  • Superior personnel management and team building skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to use positive tone and attitude to diffuse conflict, provide solutions, and cultivate a fun and productive working environment;
  • Ability to anticipate and deal with an ever-changing production environment;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material;
  • Ability to work well under pressure/deadlines and to to pull together and focus diverse teams of artists;
  • Ability to work with the legal team to draft and execute all key stakeholder agreements in accordance with the finance and production plan, also ensuring compliance with any applicable award/union rates, familiarising yourself with guidelines for the latest AWG, SPA/MEAA or other industry agreements;
  • Assist with the application process for any production funding and/or tax credits, ensuring the Film complies with the regulations of any relevant government bodies, including without limitation the PDV and Producer Offset (as applicable);
  • WIllingness to represent the Production Company within the animation industry as a senior member of staff, embodying a professional and positive image at all times.
