About The Role:
Ziff Davis Shopping is looking for a Platform Operations Manager who will lead the Platform Operations team in running multiple digital savings properties, including RetailMeNot.com and Offers.com. We are seeking someone who is passionate about the online shopping space and knows how to create a phenomenal user experience to help our customers save. You will demonstrate impressive attention to detail, an aptitude to learn quickly and a strong desire to optimize systems and processes. You have a proven track record of working with cross functional teams and creating successful relationships with them. You also love teaching others how to succeed in an operational environment.
What You’ll Do -Responsibilities:
Operations Expertise:
Use your strong knowledge of affiliate marketing and affiliate networks to achieve operational goals
Write, edit, and oversee the creation of all process documentation for the Platform Ops team
Work easily and expertly within multiple CMSes and databases
Access and manage large data sets to communicate team KPIs, recommendations, successes and challenges to senior management
Provide operational input and direction as it pertains to overall company goals
Become the expert for all operations that pertain to merchandising and commerce platforms
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product and Engineering to develop and improve all commerce platforms
Communicate with Product, Partner, SEO, Campaigns and Engineering to make sure all operational needs are met, plus make operational recommendations as needed to appropriate stakeholders. Support operations and merchandising teams through demonstrated knowledge of all platforms and platform operations team responsibilities
Work with senior leadership to ensure that platform operations functional and technical needs are met as it pertains to company goals
Collaborate cross functionally with all business units to ensure that all sales and marketing initiatives are operationally solid
Team Management:
Recruit and hire Platform Operations team members
Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals for the Platform Operations team
Set achievable, yet challenging team goals to meet all performance initiatives
Create work schedules and job expectations that achieve company goals
Provide a supportive and positive working environment that allows team members to exceed goals.
Conduct regular one on ones with team
Who You Are - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
5+ years of experience in eCommerce, affiliate marketing or product operations
Experience developing training materials in order to train team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with senior management
Demonstrated ability to use multiple CMSes and databases that support different websites
Experience setting up new workstreams for both internal and offshore teams
Superior organizational skills
Experience recruiting and hiring
Experience working with large datasets
Excellent spreadsheet skills - including functions and formulas
Strong knowledge of affiliate networks
Experience creating JIRA tickets that Engineers can easily follow and complete
A positive influence and natural mentor
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Experience working with Sales, SEO, SEM and merchandising teams
Experience with Tableau and/or Looker
Proven ability to learn and execute simultaneously while managing multiple projects.
