Summary

This role is a Murex Front Office Consultant position with a focus on supporting and developing an application for a major global commodities trader. Responsibilities include contributing to requirement analysis, understanding business needs, interacting with front-office users, configuring the Murex application (trade insertion, simulations, curve setup, P&L recon, product configuration, GOM, etc.), resolving bugs, and designing front-office solutions. The project is long-term and rapidly expanding. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years of Murex Front Office experience, strong knowledge of at least two asset classes (Commodities, FXD, FX Cash, IRD), and experience with front-office stakeholders. A good understanding of FO modules and the trade lifecycle is essential.

  • Front-office stakeholder experience
  • FO configuration knowledge (instruments, generators, curves)
  • Understanding of FO modules (Simulation, eTradepad, P&L notepad)
  • Trade lifecycle knowledge (front, back, middle office)
  • P&L and sensitivity analysis in Murex
  • Knowledge of User Groups/Access Rights (GOM)
Good to have:
  • Murex Integration experience
  • CICD, Agile experience

Responsibilities

Contributing to Requirement Analysis in Front Office space for various projects

Contributing to understanding the business needs, identifying business solutions, and validating the pros and cons of technical solution options

Interact with Front Office user base and interface between Business and IT with respect to Murex.

Configure the application as part of the implementation. This can be related to Trade Insertion (etradepad, FDI, ), Simulations, Curve setup, PL recon, Product configuration (generators, indices, ...), GOM, etc.

Follow up with Murex as and when necessary to resolve bugs and issues.

Solution design for Front-Office area

Skills

Must have

5+ years of total experience

3+ years of relevant Murex Front Office experience

Good/Export knowledge of at least two asset classes (Risk and Pricing) including, Commodities, FXD, FX Cash, and IRD, of the Murex product suite.

Experienced in dealing with front-office stakeholders in Markets or Treasury divisions

Good hands-on knowledge of FO configuration: instruments, generators, curves, market data, market conventions, etc

Good understanding of FO modules: Simulation screens, Simulation Viewer, eTradepad, P&L notepad, market operations, etc

Strong exposure of trade lifecycle across front office, back office, and middle office tiers

Good knowledge of how to analyze P&L and sensitivity issues within Murex

Knowledge of organization setup and User Groups / Access Rights (GOM)

Nice to have

Experience in the Murex Integration

Experience in CICD, Agile
