Job Description

This role is for a Middle React Engineer to work on a mobile application (built using web technologies like Java and React) that manages truck loading and unloading. Responsibilities include delivering new features, integrating with other teams, enhancing style guides and code patterns (including a React component library), improving performance and scalability, ensuring high code quality through best practices and code reviews. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of commercial React experience, proficiency in frontend testing, performance optimization, and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. The position offers a flexible working format (remote, office-based, or flexible).

Must have:

4+ years React experience
Frontend testing & optimization
ES6, React, Redux, TypeScript, CSS, REST APIs
Webpack, Gulp, Jest, unit & e2e testing
Git, Agile environment
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Enzyme or React Test Utils
Bitbucket/GitHub
SCSS, HTML5, responsive design

Our client is one of the world's largest fashion retailers, selling in 215 markets through its online platform and 6,477 stores across 95 markets. The project is a mobile app developed using web technologies (Java and React). The app helps manage the loading and unloading of trucks, and our team develops new features that integrate with other teams.

Requirements:

4+ years of commercial experience with React.
Experience in frontend testing and performance optimization.
Proficiency in CSS3/SCSS/HTML5 and modern responsive design techniques.
Extensive experience with ES6, React, Redux, Redux-saga, TypeScript, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
Comfortable with modern front-end tooling such as Webpack and Gulp.
Familiar with Jest, unit testing, and e2e testing.
Proficient with version control systems, especially Git, and tools like Bitbucket/GitHub.
Experience with Enzyme or React Test Utils.
Working experience in an Agile environment and a clear understanding of Agile methodologies.
Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
Product-oriented mindset with a focus on team results and continuous personal and team improvements.
Leadership qualities, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English level (communication with the client is required).

Responsibilities:

Work in sprints to deliver new functionality for the solution.
Continuously enhance style guides, design, and code patterns, including our React component library.
Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability in line with business growth.
Ensure high code quality by following best practices and conducting code reviews.
