Internship Overview:

Nasdaq's Internship Program provides outstanding opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience during a 10-week internship. The Nasdaq MarketSite Events Team supports and collaborates with our business partners internally to manage and execute listed and newly listed company and client events and meetings at Nasdaq MarketSite. This intern role will be help support with guests at our daily Opening and Closing bell ceremonies and events at our Times Square headquarters. To be successful, you’ll need to be passionate about events, detail oriented, thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be extremely proactive with our clients, always putting them first and doing everything possible to accommodate their needs. 

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Greet guests arriving with a warm welcome (congratulate them on their company milestones, provide directional support), and likewise, provide a fond farewell for guests when they depart.

  • Meet with Event Specialists prior to each client’s arrival to review program details and solidify an understanding of the purpose of the event, keys to success, and hot buttons (read/analyze host materials, agendas, guests, and Monday.com info).

  • Shadow Event Specialists to understand Nasdaq event types (bell ceremony, board meeting, investor/analyst day, conference, meeting, cocktail reception, dinner, etc.)

  • Contribute towards executing photo opp and bell viewing request groups

  • Contribute towards supporting bookings of MarketSite Opening/Closing bell ceremonies that become available with short notice (often times 24 - 48 hours of notice)

  • Support team with administrative projects  

Qualifications:


This is an exciting position in a growing business that would suit someone who is a serious self-starter with exceptional project management, hospitality, and communication skills.

•    Experience/Interest Required: 1 year of event, hospitality, client experience, marketing, and/or broadcast production
•    The candidate for this role must be client facing with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
•    Demonstrate sound decision-making ability and workload management skills. 
•    The candidate in this role should have the ability to multi-task, develop marketing project timelines (from start to finish) with capability to see obstacles early and provide solutions. 

•    Strong communication skills to collaborate across internal stakeholder groups 
•    Helpful Experience: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Monday.com

Internship Program Requirements

·       Must be a rising senior enrolled full time for the upcoming semester in an accredited college or university and on-track to graduate

·       10-week commitment with availability to start in June​

·       Must be available to be in office 5-days a week
