ABOUT US
Mountaintop is a new game studio creating multiplayer games for players who crave a challenge. We’re an independent, remote-first studio primarily located in the US.
We’re creating the types of games that unite people — and keep them together for “just one more round.” The types of games that inspired us as kids. The games that become our hobbies, and sometimes our obsessions.

THE ROLE
We seek a talented Marketing Art Lead who can ideate, conceptualize, and execute eye-catching artwork and assets independently. This role will be responsible for marketing art designs, store takeovers, key art, and other creative marketing materials. In this position, you’ll play a critical role in establishing a visual brand style guide for the game. You’ll also be tasked to present our in-game content to players in the best possible manner.
The Mountaintop Marketing Art Lead will create the best assets through their systemic design, graphic design, layout, typography, color theory, and illustration knowledge. This role will collaborate with teams across Mountaintop as both artistic and design problem solvers.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Independently ideating, conceptualizing, and executing compelling artwork and assets
- Creating designs, compositions, key art, and other creative marketing materials
- Developing brand style guides that translate an in-game art style into a cohesive visual brand identity for Marketing the game
- Directing the capture of in-engine models and assets for use in marketing designs and compositions
- Submitting visual design concepts for brainstorming and approval promptly and meeting with the project team for feedback
- Balancing delivering quality creative work while managing projects and timelines autonomously from kickoff to completion
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide art direction and creative feedback
- Contributing innovative ideas and concepts to improve creative workflows and products
- Leveraging contacts to trusted freelancers or agencies for additional creative support as needed
- Contributing to a team culture that prides itself on excellence, innovation, trust, and respect
ABOUT YOU
- A love for playing and making amazing games
- Experience with PC and console games
- 5+ years of Graphic Design, Illustration, or Art experience
- Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Able to capture assets in Unreal and various 3D spaces
- Working knowledge of Figma, Miro, and presentation tools
- Expert knowledge of Graphic Design and the creative development process
- Showcases a strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual design systems
- Proven talent for creating and leading high-caliber creative work
- Well-versed in all aspects of creative project management from inception to completion
- Ability to adapt and lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, with great time management skills
- Receptive to feedback and open to constructive criticism
- Capable of both individual contributor work and collaborative efforts
- Willingness to handle a variety of hands-on tasks and responsibilities
- Willing to take risks and learn from failure
